County Cup Semi-Finals, here we come!
On Thursday 5th March, our Year 7 Girls Football Team secured their place in the County Cup Semi-Finals with a tense and exciting victory over Lockyer's Middle School.
The match finished 1–1 after normal time, with AMS conceding a last-minute equaliser to send the game into extra time. Just moments earlier, Jess L had produced a world-class save in injury time to keep the scores level while in goal.
Then came an incredible twist! Jess removed the goalkeeper gloves for extra time, moved out to the right wing, and calmly slotted the ball into the net to make it 2–1 — sending the travelling AMS parents and Mr Williams into a frenzy!
A brilliant team effort and a moment of magic when it mattered most.
