Allenbourn PEDSSA Athletics Champions
On Wednesday, our fantastic Key Stage 2 athletes took part in the PEDSSA Athletics Championships at Kings Park Stadium — and what a day it was!
For many of our pupils, this was their first time competing in an athletics event. Yet, through determination, teamwork, and a willingness to step outside their comfort zone, they achieved truly outstanding results:
We are very excited to announce the following results:
Yr 5 girls - 2nd place
Yr 5 boys - 2nd place
Year 5 combined - 1st Place!
Year 6 girls - 2nd
Year 6 boys - 3rd
Year 6 combined - 2nd Place!
Year 5 & 6 combined - 1st Place
This means that AMS are champions for both East Dorset and Poole!
A huge congratulations to all our pupils who took part with special mentions to the following Year 5 pupils: Rose who won the high jump, Zane for coming 2nd in the 75m sprint and 3rd in long jump; Eleanor for her gutsy run and coming 3rd in 600m and Poppy who also came 3rd place in the howler throw. In Year 6 Eddie won the 150m; Eliza came 2nd place in high jump and 3rd in the 600m and the girls relay team, who came 1st.
We are incredibly proud of all the pupils who represented AMS. Whether winning medals or giving it their all, they demonstrated sporting excellence, courage, and team spirit throughout the day.
Well done, AMS – true champions in every sense!
