Year 8 Residential London Trip 2026

Our annual Year 8 residential trip to London proved to be a highly memorable and enriching experience for all involved.
The trip began with a visit to the Warner Bros. Studio Tour London – The Making of Harry Potter, where pupils took part in a session on The Art of Foley and explored the impressive studio exhibits, followed by time in the gift shop. The group then travelled into central London, settling into their accommodation before an evening walk along the South Bank, taking in views of the illuminated Tower Bridge, and enjoying dinner at Pizza Express.
The following day, pupils explored several of London’s most iconic landmarks. Highlights included a visit to Churchill War Rooms, a walk through St James's Park to Buckingham Palace, and the opportunity to watch the Changing of the Guard at Horse Guards Parade. The group also enjoyed panoramic views of the city from the London Eye before returning to their accommodation to prepare for an evening theatre visit.
On their final day, pupils visited the historic Tower of London, where they also experienced the ceremonial 41-gun salute marking the State Visit of the President of Nigeria.
Throughout the trip, pupils demonstrated excellent behaviour and enthusiasm, making the most of every opportunity. We are incredibly proud of Year 8 and thank them for representing the school so well on what has been a thoroughly enjoyable and successful residential visit.
