We took four mixed Year 7 and 8 teams to St Michael’s Middle School, and the pupils played almost continuously throughout the afternoon. Although individual match scores were kept, they were not recorded centrally, as the aim of the event was to give everyone the chance to play as many games as possible.

Mrs Darragh was delighted with the leadership shown by the team captains (one from each year group per team), who organised their players brilliantly—rotating positions fairly and ensuring everyone had the opportunity to try out different areas of the court. After each game, both teams chose their player of the match, and captains congratulated the selected pupils with a handshake. Some of our players recognised during the afternoon included: Eliana, Jess, Eliza, Maisie, Hattie, Flo, Abi, Lexi and Rose.

It was a thoroughly enjoyable and engaging afternoon for all involved. A big thank you to Mrs Cole, our School Games Organiser, for planning and running the tournament, and to St Michael’s for hosting.
