All pupils at Allenbourn Middle School came together to mark Victory in Europe Day this week.

They created one hundred metres of bunting which included beautiful messages of reflection.

The installation started from Article 38 'Protection from War' on our Rights Respecting School display and traveled all the way to the AMS Reading Bookshelf - finishing at the hauntingly poignant Class Read text 'The Boy in the Striped Pajamas'.

   

      

  

 

 

As part of the 80th anniversary commemoration of Victory in Europe (VE) Day on 8th May 2025, Wimborne Minster Town Council invited pupils in Wimborne schools to take part in a Poetry Competition.

Over 80 entries were received and we were delighted to be the only school in Wimborne to have had two poems selected to be read aloud on the Minster Green. The pupils were then presented with certificates and a prize.
